After three years away (for Matt), it was time for another pilgrimage home to Australia. As per Vanessa's trip earlier in the year, it was another whirlwind tour of the East Coast to catch up with friends and family, as well as attending the wedding of our friends Kenny and Vanessa.

First stop was "The Farm" to visit Matt's Mum and Dad, two sisters (Kirsty and Erin) and Gavin. Beautiful weather had us hitting the river, the pool and the beach. We also enjoyed our third anniversary at Casabelle, where we were married.

Next we took a very bumpy propeller flight to Canberra to catch up with Bronwyn, Jeff and Bree. No trip to the nation's capital is complete without obligatory tourist sights.....so we visited New Parliament House and also the War Memorial. Bree insisted that we also visited the Canberra Zoo which was fun.

Brisbane was the next stop to visit the extended Butler Clan. Despite the drought-breaking rainy weather, we enjoyed a BBQ with relies and friends and a trip into the mountains at Melaney and Montville. We celebrated Dad's birthday in style at Morgan's in Scarborough.

Last stop was Sydney and Bowral to catch up with friends, family and to attend Kenny and Vanessa's wedding. Everyone enjoyed catch-up drinks at Opera overlooking the harbour. The stormy weather continued throughout our Sydney visit but we still managed to enjoy ourselves.

Two weeks too quickly!
